Beginner Group Mat Classes will be offered at 6:30 on Monday and Wednesday evenings. The Beginner classes require a 6 class commitment as we want our clients to create a consistent Pilates schedule. The beginner classes are open to all ages and we encourage teenagers to join this group. All benefit from the Pilates Method because:

- Pilates creates proper posture so we can get into the habit of sitting properly when watching TV or working at computers.
- The exercises relieve strain on the vulnerable areas of the body, such as that caused by lugging heavy backpacks to school or computer bags during business travel.
- The workout complements sports activities that we all enjoy. The training of the core muscles and the agility acquired through Pilates promotes performance in games and competitions. From the weekend golfer to the serious athlete, all benefit.
- Participants will acquire good control on their body in motion, which enables them to maintain better balance.
- Pilates assists in injury prevention.
- The increased coordination, stamina, and efficiency of movement all help in our daily lives and in sports.
- By working the mind and body in concert, clients are not exhausted but refreshed at the end of the session.
- Sessions will be 55 minutes in length.

NOW OFFERING SMALL GROUP TOWER CLASSES
We are now offering small group Tower Classes. The Tower is a Pilates apparatus, similar to the Cadillac enabling the participant to incorporate spring resistance into their Pilates program. The classes are 55 minutes in length and combine spring resistance with movement and classical mat movements. If you are new to the Pilates method, a series of private session Tower classes is recommended to become familiar with the apparatus and movements.

Susan G. Komen 3-Day Breast Cancer Walk
My experience in walking the 2008 Atlanta 3-Day Walk and the 2009 Washington DC 3-Day walk were very fulfilling. However, since I am completing my program with Lolita San Miguel in October of 2010, I have decided to take a year off from walking. I believe the Susan G. Komen foundation is one of the best causes for the fight against Breast Cancer. If you are interested in making a donation to a walker, please contact me as I do have many friends walking this year.
Hopefully in 2011 I will have the time to participate in this life changing event.
